A root canal is an endodontic treatment performed by Centennial dental care to save a diseased, or otherwise damaged tooth. Endodontic refers to the inside of the tooth, under the enamel, where the pulp lies. Nerve cells and blood vessels are contained in the pulp. If the pulp is aggravated, it can lead to an abscessed tooth.

Root canals have come to be associated with extreme pain. Truth be told, with modern anesthetics, any distress should be minimal, with some possible sensitivity to hot or cold for a day or so after the procedure.
