If you notice that the dental floss that you normally use is shredding, it may be a sign of plaque buildup. But if you’re in the habit of flossing daily, the tearing may mean that you have a new cavity, or that on old filling is in need of repair.
See your Centennial dentist. If there is no evidence of decay, he may recommend exchanging the type of floss that you have been using for a “glide” floss, or dental tape that may be easier to move between your teeth.
